As soon as I contacted the clinic, I felt in good hands and Marianne made sure that my case was reviewed quickly by the right doctor. It was a big relief! Dr Masri made room in his schedule to see me as quickly as possible. He took time to answer all my questions and was really reassuring. He explained that he would only be able to tell during my surgery if he could repair the meniscus or if he would need to take part of it out. He made sure I understood the 2 surgeries and their impacts. The day of the surgery everyone was amazing and attentive. I ended up needing a partial meniscectomy (for a bucket handle meniscus tear). I am 62 years old and was very concerned i would not be able to be as active as i had been in the past. Well was I ever lucky to find this doctor. What a prince of a guy and a gifted doctor. The surgery and recovery was exactly as he explained. I had been waiting for 7 months at this point in the public sector where I hadnt even gotten past the 1st real step ( M.R.I. Scan ) The operation was an AMAZING sucess. The next day i was already forgetting my crutches here and there. I completed a full distance ironman triathlon just 5.5 short weeks after, with a time of 12.51h Thats 3.8km swim, 180km bike and a 42.2km marathon back to back.
